Over the last week, India has seen a major COVID-19 outbreak, with over 300,000 confirmed cases every day. Following in the footsteps of democratic countries, the Chinese communist regime vowed to assist India. However, Indian media announced that a major Chinese state-run airline has suspended all cargo flights to India needed to bring in medical supplies, and Chinese medical supply manufacturers have increased prices.

The United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union have all reached out to India in recent days to provide urgent assistance. The Biden administration vowed to provide India with raw materials for the production of medicines, medical supplies, and protective equipment right away.

The Chinese government has also pledged to assist and help India. Hua Chunying, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, tweeted on April 26: “We are worried about the grave situation in India.” We are prepared to assist India if it informs us of its unique needs. ”

However, according to a story in the Times of India on April 26, China’s state-run Sichuan Airlines had suspended all cargo flights to India for 15 days. It hampered locals’ ability to import oxygen concentrators and other critical medical equipment from China.

Furthermore, traders complained that Chinese producers had raised the prices of medical supplies by 35–40%, and freight charges had risen by more than 20%, according to the survey.

On April 26, during the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s regular press conference, an Indian Broadcasting Corporation reporter asked the ministry’s spokesperson Wang Wenbin about the suspension: “You said last week that China and India are in talks about China providing medical supplies to India. Simultaneously, Indian companies are importing medical supplies from China in order to fulfill India’s needs in response to the epidemic. However, China’s Sichuan Airlines suspended its cargo operations to India today, preventing India from purchasing crucial products at this critical time. ”

Wang responded by repeating that China will provide assistance and stating that the urgent purchase of medical supplies from China by Indian companies is a “natural purchasing activity among companies.” He also advised the Indian reporter to consult with local airlines about the status of particular flights.

More than a dozen countries have currently suspended flights to India, but the suspension does not apply to cargo flights or planes carrying medical staff. Countries such as the United Kingdom, on the other hand, are constantly dispatching flights loaded with medical supplies to India. On April 27, a flight from the United Kingdom carrying ventilators and oxygen concentrators landed in Delhi.

In response to China’s pledge to assist India, US columnist and China expert Gordon Chang responded on Twitter by asking China to disclose how the COVID-19 came to be.

The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in China’s Wuhan city last November, has claimed 3.13 million lives worldwide, but the Chinese communist regime has so far refused to provide original virus data, which has been criticized by many people around the world.

On April 22, a bipartisan group of U.S. senators introduced legislation that would force President Joe Biden to declassify information about the P4 facility, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which is accused of leaking the virus.
